THE 458
The 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show saw the unveiling of the latest model from the prancing-horse firm, destined to replace the F430: this new berlinetta is called the 458 Italia, and features a naturally-aspirated 570bhp V8 in the centre-rear position, propelling the beast to 325kph with a 0-60mph time of 3.4 seconds. 4 seconds... The last in the line of saloon cars with a non-turbocharged engine, the 458 is and will remain one of the best-sounding Ferraris, and is attracting more and more collectors who want to add the last ‘real’ saloon car from the prancing horse to their collection!
Stylistically, the newcomer doesn't break the mould and has its origins in the design offices of Pininfarina, under the direction of Donato Coco, who signed his masterpiece here, with the emphasis on aerodynamics, with, for example, deformable fins on the front grille designed to flatten out at high speed.
THIS 458 ITALIA
Our example was specially sourced by the current owner as he specifically wanted this attractive Ferrari shade of Rosso Corsa, with the option of a beige Cuoio leather interior. It wears desirable specification options including 20-inch diamond-cut forged alloy wheels, the carbon and LED steering wheel, leather headlining, yellow instrument panel, and a multimedia system featuring parking camera with sensors and satellite navigation and most important – nose lift.
Today, this 458 Italia has only 20.000 km on the clock and as can be expected is still in brand new condition. The bodywork is beautiful no blemishes nor damage, our paint measurements show a first paint all around. Inside the 458 Italia cocoons the driver in luxury and purpose. The aforementioned optional LED carbon steering wheel is adorned with controls for everything from suspension over wipers. There are no signs of wear in the cabin, such is the care taken by the owners, a fine car connoisseur and a good customer.
