Starting in 1963 with the original 911, Porsche has produced a line of six-cylinder rear-engine sportscars that could compete with much more powerful cars thanks to their low weight and superior handling. Introduced in 1984, the Carrera 3.2 was the last iteration of the classic 911 before the large changes of the 964. The Carrera 3.2 produced 231 horsepower at 5,900rpm, which was delivered through the desirable Getrag G50 transaxle from the 1987 production year and onwards.
True to Porsche's reputation, the Carrera 3.2 offered the unique experience of driving pleasure and performance without sacrificing comfort and usability. Due to their robust construction and strong owner's groups, these 1980s 911s are great cars to be enjoyed and driven.
This 911 3.2 Carrera
Completed at Porsche during September of 1987 as a G50 equipped car, this spectacular Carrera 3.2 Coupe was finished just as it appears today, painted in the optional and very rare Satin Black Metallic (729) and finished with a black interior. Fitted with desirable optional extras including sunroof and the front and rear Carrera spoiler; the new Carrera also featured the much-improved Getrag G50 5-speed manual transaxle.
Sold new in Germany the Carrera remained in its home country until 1992, when it was soon acquired by a Belgian caretaker, and stayed in Belgium ever since with all owners proven by the documents on file. The car comes with a binder with old invoices, Porsche Certificate of Authenticity and Belgian registration documents.
Today just over 165,000 kilometers are recorded on the odometer and documented by the paperwork and 'Wartung' or Manual. Inside and out, the Porsche is very true to original and impeccably well-preserved with very light signs of use. The factory-applied VIN decal remain intact in the hood along with other factory decals and ID plates. The car drives incredibly well, as would be expected from a well-serviced and maintained Porsche.
This matching example - of course - still has the factory undercarriage wax protection visible. The original interior is in beautiful condition showing very light since use. We can see the a classic Philips radio with documentation. The original yellow round sticker stating the interior passed quality control is still applied under the dash!
Our paint measurements show a respray - with original paint on roof and engine lid - with no signs of body fillers nor is there an accident repair known or visible. The deep black paint is very glossy and depth is incredible and measurements are even throughout.
Offered with the original owner's manuals in pouch, period Porsche information leaflet, Philips information folders, Porsche Service book, space saver spare & compressor, jack and tool roll,... this is really a well preserved 911 Carrera 3.2! Finding a well preserved example has become increasingly difficult and this rare Satin Black metallic G50 is an opportunity not to be missed!
The car currently has Belgian registration.
